Job Summary

As a Test Engineer for Telecommunication Payloads, you will play a critical role in the setup, validation, and execution of complex RF (Radio Frequency) measurement systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and conducting electrical integration and communication payload tests, both on-site and at external client locations. You will be responsible for the entire documentation lifecycle, from creating specifications and test plans to presenting final reports to customers. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will manage interfaces between Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT), project management, and engineering teams. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to support system-level activities during thermal-vacuum (T-Vac) testing and participate in high-level reviews. You will also operate specialized software for RF measurement control and adapt scripts to automate test procedures, ensuring the high reliability required for satellite communication components.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in developing test concepts for RF hardware
  • Proven experience in planning and executing verification tests for RF payloads
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary project environments
  • Experience with common RF measurement equipment and software control
  • Experience in cleanroom environments is preferred

Additional

  • Willingness to travel for business trips (e.g., to Munich or Toulouse) is required. Familiarity with Linux and programming languages such as Python or C# is considered an advantage.
