Job Summary
This full-time, permanent role within the District of Ostholstein focuses on the strategic development and operational execution of risk and crisis communication. As a key member of the District Administrator's office, you will be responsible for creating and refining crisis communication concepts, establishing a dedicated crisis portal for the administration, and managing public relations across various channels, including social media. A significant portion of the role involves serving in the district's command staff and acting as the deputy press spokesperson. This position is ideal for a public administration professional with a passion for civil protection and public safety. Required Skills
Education
Career examination for Career Group 2, first entry level (formerly elevated general administrative service), Diploma in Public Administration (Dipl.-Verwaltungswirt:in), or completed administrative training with successful completion of the second administrative examination (Angestelltenprüfung II).
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration (preferred)
- Experience or active engagement in fire services, civil protection, or emergency medical services
- Experience in press and public relations work
- Practical knowledge of disaster management and population protection protocols

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to attend events during evening hours. Must be eligible for public service appointment (Besoldungsgruppe A 10 SHBesO or Entgeltgruppe 9c TVöD).
