Job Summary

As a Commissioning Technician at Kaltenbach, a global leader in steel processing machinery, you will play a pivotal role in bringing high-performance sawing and drilling systems to life. Your daily responsibilities involve the initial commissioning of fully automated systems at the factory, including the installation, parameterization, and validation of PLC, PC, and drive technologies. You will conduct rigorous functional tests, perform error diagnostics, and collaborate closely with software developers to optimize control programs. Beyond technical setup, you will be responsible for creating documentation and conducting customer training sessions. This role offers a unique blend of factory-based technical work and field service support, including remote and on-site commissioning at client locations worldwide. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician or Mechatronics Engineer; further qualification as a State-Certified Technician in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics is desirable.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning of machines and systems
  • Practical experience with Siemens TIA Portal is preferred
  • Experience in installing and validating PLC and drive technology
  • Proven background in handling complex mechatronic components including hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience in conducting functional tests and technical troubleshooting
