Job Summary

The Pforzheim Police Department is seeking two qualified professionals to join their Criminal Investigation Department as Cybercrime or IT Forensics Officers. This role is crucial for combating complex digital crimes such as system intrusion, denial-of-service attacks, and malware distribution, especially in organized crime scenarios. Day-to-day tasks involve forensic data acquisition, processing, and decryption of digital traces from IT systems, as well as executing criminal procedural measures like searches, seizures, arrests, and interrogations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a meticulous and persistent work ethic, and excellent social competencies, including the ability to convincingly present evidence in court. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to digital crime fighting within the police force, with a structured training program provided.

University degree or vocational training suitable for processing offenses committed using modern information and communication technology

Experience

  • Professional experience in processing offenses committed with significant use of modern information and communication technology
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience OR successful completion of preparatory service for middle or higher police executive service
