Job Summary

As a District Heating Engineer at Stadtwerke Jena Netze GmbH, you will be responsible for the safe, economic, and environmentally friendly operation and maintenance of district heating networks and generation plants. Your day-to-day activities involve planning and supervising maintenance, repairs, and shutdowns while managing budgets and schedules. You will play a key role in optimizing plant operations and contributing to technical concepts, economic feasibility studies, and investment planning. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Energy Engineering, Power Plant Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Engineering, or HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation, maintenance, or planning of district heating or thermal systems is desirable
  • Experience with technical regulations and legal requirements in the energy sector
  • Experience in creating technical documentation and operating instructions
  • Experience in project management from planning to commissioning
