Job Summary
This is a permanent full-time position based in Berlin with ver.di, one of the world's largest trade unions. As a member of the IT Operations team, you will be responsible for the nationwide software packaging and client support for approximately 3,500 employees. Your daily tasks involve managing the full lifecycle of client systems, including operating system rollouts, software distribution, and patch management. You will play a critical role in migrating the current client management system to Baramundi and automating routine tasks using PowerShell. The position requires a mix of technical execution, such as 2nd-level support and endpoint security monitoring, and strategic contributions like defining hardware standards and conducting internal training. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training of at least 3 years in the IT field, supplemented by additional specialist qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- 3-5 years of practical professional experience in IT administration
- Professional experience in software and operating system distribution
- Experience in scripting and automation, specifically with PowerShell
- Experience in endpoint protection and event log analysis
- Experience in 2nd-level technical support and complex problem analysis
- Experience with Baramundi is considered an advantage
