Job Summary

As an Expert Inspector for Control and Safety Systems (LST), you will lead the acceptance testing and inspection process for railway infrastructure projects. Your daily responsibilities include conducting technical inspections, leading inspection teams, and verifying compliance with legal and technical regulations for hardware and software components. You will evaluate systems ranging from legacy relay technology to modern Electronic Interlocking (ESTW) and European Train Control Systems (ETCS). This role is critical for quality assurance, requiring you to provide technical consultancy to project engineers and mentors to junior staff. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study. Must hold official recognition by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) as an Expert Inspector/Acceptance Tester for Control and Safety Systems (LST).

Experience

  • Professional experience as a certified inspector or acceptance tester in the field of Control and Safety Systems (LST)
  • Experience in technical and organizational leadership of inspection teams
  • Proven track record in evaluating railway hardware and software components for regulatory compliance
  • Experience in creating technical expert reports and inspection notes
