Job Summary
As an Electrical Engineer at Willig's Straubing plant, you will play a pivotal role in developing superstructures for battery-electric commercial vehicles. Your daily responsibilities involve the design, dimensioning, and specification of both high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems. You will be responsible for selecting and integrating critical components such as inverters, electric motors, DC/DC converters, and HV cabling. Beyond design, you will collaborate closely with production and software development teams to create circuit diagrams, bill of materials, and safety concepts. A significant part of the role includes conducting functional tests and troubleshooting prototypes to ensure compliance with international safety standards. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, a certified Technician with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in e-mobility, battery systems, or high-voltage technology (400–800V)
- Experience in the design and specification of electrical systems for commercial vehicles
- Practical experience in troubleshooting and optimizing prototypes and series vehicles
- Experience with EMC-compliant design and functional safety standards
- Experience using CAD and diagnostic tools
