Job Summary

As a Development Engineer for Ammunition Safety, you will play a critical role in the defense sector by developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs for ammunition systems and missiles. Your daily responsibilities include conducting safety and reliability analyses, defining risk mitigation measures according to international standards such as MIL-STD-882E and IEC61508, and managing qualification documentation. You will act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal departments, ensuring all products meet strict NATO and military regulations. This position is particularly attractive for experienced engineers looking to take full ownership of safety life cycles and engage in high-level coordination with public authorities and international stakeholders. It offers a permanent contract and the opportunity to work with specialized tools like Isograph Reliability Workbench within a highly regulated, mission-critical environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree, Diploma, or PhD in a natural science or technical field, ideally with a focus on Electronics or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in product and ammunition safety
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant NATO ammunition regulations
  • Proven experience in risk assessment methods and hazard analysis
  • Practical experience with reliability analysis tools such as Isograph Reliability Workbench
  • Experience in coordinating with public clients and conducting audits
