Job Summary
As a Hardware Developer at Brunel, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of electrical and electronic components, focusing on the design and evaluation of actuators and sensors. Your daily tasks will include developing analog and digital circuits within 12V/24V environments, creating PCB layouts, and managing the entire development process from initial inquiry to series production. You will act as a vital technical link between internal departments, customers, and external suppliers, ensuring that all project goals regarding deadlines, costs, and quality are met. This role is particularly attractive due to its broad scope, involving electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing, functional safety standards, and coordination of external software and hardware service providers. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in hardware development and PCB layout
- Experience in the automotive industry environment is preferred
- Experience with layout tools, specifically Altium Designer
- Practical experience with C++ development
- Experience with communication bus systems such as CAN and LIN
- Experience in coordinating external service providers and suppliers
Languages
Additional
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cyber Security is required. Must be able to work independently and within a team. Position is based on a full-time, permanent (unbefristet) contract.
