Job Summary

As a Design Engineer for Substations and BIM, you will play a critical role in shaping Hamburg's energy infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities involve designing, detailing, and analyzing execution variants for new constructions, conversions, and expansions of high-voltage supply facilities. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to create technical execution documents using CAD tools and Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies. A significant portion of the role focuses on ensuring information quality within BIM projects, managing tool settings, and taking responsibility for data management throughout the entire plant lifecycle. This position is particularly attractive as it offers a permanent contract within a newly merged, future-proof energy company (Hamburger Energienetze), combining the stability of the utility sector with the innovation of modern digital engineering standards like the Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (University or University of Applied Sciences) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable discipline.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the field of high-voltage systems or substations is desirable
  • Proven experience in 3D modeling using Revit
  • Experience working with Project Common Data Environments (CDE), ideally Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Experience in creating technical execution documentation for utility infrastructure
