Job Summary

As an FPGA Firmware Developer in the Munich area, you will join a leading technology partner in the defense industry to drive innovation in firmware architecture. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing firmware requirements, implementing designs in VHDL, and conducting FPGA programming according to strict coding standards. You will be responsible for creating verification testbenches, performing low-level hardware tests, and ensuring high quality through rigorous code reviews. Collaboration is a key theme, as you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams across system, hardware, and software development while managing version control via SVN or Git. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree (at least Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in FPGA development using VHDL
  • Experience in creating verification testbenches and performing low-level hardware tests
  • Proven experience in firmware architecture design and requirements engineering
  • Professional experience with development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Xilinx ISE, or QuestaSim
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary development teams in a structured, analytical environment
