Job Summary

This role involves supporting high-tech research and development at ETC's Jülich location, a leader in gas centrifuge technology for the nuclear energy sector. As a Laboratory Technician or Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and evaluation of complex experiments. Your daily activities will include monitoring and maintaining sophisticated pilot plants and mass spectrometers, conducting corrosion tests, and documenting results. You will play a vital role in ensuring plant readiness through modernization and testing of measuring devices. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technician or Master Craftsman (Meister) in Industrial Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or as a Chemical Technician (Chemikant).

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in a laboratory or chemical production environment
  • Experience in controlling, monitoring, and maintaining complex experimental plants
  • Practical experience in measurement and vacuum technology
  • Experience with SCADA-based plant control systems
  • Experience in radiation protection and occupational safety is preferred
  • Experience in independent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting

Additional

  • Participation in on-call duty (Rufbereitschaft) is required. Willingness to support work at other international company sites. Must be comfortable working in a high-security nuclear technology environment.
