Job Summary

As a Systems Engineer for Electrical Cabin Systems at Lufthansa Technik, you will play a critical role in the integration and certification of flight deck, cabin, and aircraft equipment under EASA 21J regulations. Your daily responsibilities include creating comprehensive modification documents, layout specifications, and technical evidence to meet strict aviation authority requirements. You will define and supervise prototype installations, providing on-site technical guidance to maintenance and overhaul facilities during the integration of proprietary developments. Beyond technical design, you will act as a consultant for customers regarding cabin modifications and manage the selection of manufacturers and suppliers based on technical and economic criteria. This position is unique for its blend of high-level engineering, regulatory compliance, and international field support, offering the opportunity to qualify as a Design Verification Engineer within a world-leading aviation maintenance group.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Media Technology, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the integration of electrical systems into aircraft, with a focus on Flight Deck environments
  • Professional experience in creating modification documents and compliance evidence for aviation authorities
  • Experience in defining and supervising prototype and test installations
  • Experience in technical consulting for maintenance operations and international customers
