Job Summary
The Head of Technical Department at Sankt Katharinen-Krankenhaus in Frankfurt will oversee the entire technical infrastructure of a 280-bed hospital, including residential facilities. This leadership role involves managing a multidisciplinary team of technicians and taking full responsibility for the planning, organization, and control of technical processes. Key responsibilities include steering construction and modernization projects within an active hospital environment, ensuring smooth building operations across electrical, HVAC, and sanitary systems, and managing energy and maintenance contracts. The successful candidate will coordinate external service providers, ensure compliance with legal safety regulations, and handle budget planning. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training or a technical degree in a relevant field.
Experience
- Professional experience in technical building management or a related engineering field
- Leadership experience in a professional setting is preferred
- Experience in managing cross-disciplinary technical trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing)
- Experience in coordinating external service providers and authorities
- Proven track record in project management for renovation or construction
