Job Summary
This role involves supporting the leadership of the switchgear construction department for a leading electrical engineering firm in the Dresden region. As the Deputy Head, you will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary representation of the department head, overseeing the entire production process for energy distribution systems. Your daily activities will include production control, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and cost requirements, as well as coordinating between project management, technical planning, and procurement. You will play a vital role in resource management, material procurement, and process optimization to improve manufacturing efficiency. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering or completed advanced training as a State-Certified Technician or Master Electrician (Meister Elektrotechnik).
Experience
- Professional experience in manufacturing or management within switchgear construction or energy distribution
- Experience in a leadership or deputy management position is preferred
- Extensive experience in the assembly and testing of switchgear systems
- Proven experience in applying technical standards and norms such as DIN EN 61439
