Job Summary

As a Team Lead for Sample Receipt and Logistics at IDEXX, you will play a pivotal role in one of the world's largest veterinary diagnostic companies. Based in a state-of-the-art laboratory in Kornwestheim near Stuttgart, you will manage a team of approximately 15 employees, ensuring the seamless flow of samples from arrival through registration and preparation for analysis. Your daily responsibilities involve a blend of administrative leadership—including vacation and personnel deployment planning—and active participation in laboratory routines. You will act as a mentor and coach, conducting feedback sessions and fostering a positive team spirit while serving as the primary interface between your team and department management. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on laboratory work but is also passionate about people management and process optimization. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training or degree in a scientific, technical, medical, or business-related field.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience with a scientific, technical, medical, or business focus
  • Initial experience in a leadership position within a laboratory, logistics, or production environment is preferred
  • Experience in administrative personnel management, including scheduling and performance feedback
  • Proven track record of working in a structured and responsible manner within a team setting

  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule from Tuesday to Saturday (partially Monday to Friday) with early start times beginning at 5:00, 6:00, or 7:00 AM. This is a fixed-term contract (befristet) located in Kornwestheim, Germany.
