Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position at Institute Dr. Nowak in Ottersberg involves conducting environmental analysis within an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. As a Chemical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the entire analytical process, from sample preparation (such as liquid-liquid extraction) to the execution, evaluation, and interpretation of GC-MS measurements for organic compounds like pesticides and PAHs. Key duties include method development, optimization, and ensuring rigorous quality assurance and documentation standards. You will also take responsibility for equipment maintenance and minor repairs on GC-MS(/MS) systems. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or a Bachelor/Master of Science in (Analytical) Chemistry.
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental analysis is highly desirable
- Practical background in chromatographic-analytical methods
- Experience in sample preparation and processing from start to finish
- Experience working within an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environment
- Experience using LIMS and standard IT software
