Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Project Manager and Technical Site Manager for electrical engineering projects across the Free University of Berlin's extensive real estate portfolio, including the Botanical Garden. You will be responsible for the project management and construction supervision of maintenance, renovation, and new construction measures, ensuring adherence to costs, schedules, and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating external specialist planners across all HOAI service phases, independently preparing technical concepts and specifications, and conducting site inspections and formal acceptances. The position offers a high degree of personal responsibility and creative freedom within a collegiate environment supporting science and research. It is a permanent full-time position (TV-L E12) that includes a specialist allowance for qualified professionals, making it an attractive opportunity for engineers looking to manage complex technical infrastructure in a public sector context.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma or Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or a related field; foreign degrees require a statement of comparability (ZAB).
Experience
- Professional experience in the function of project management or technical site management for electrical engineering trades
- Experience in construction within existing building stocks
- Experience in the field of energy optimization
- Experience with technical functional processes in scientific laboratory and research facilities is desired

- Location: Berlin. Knowledge of public sector legal frameworks (ABau, VOB, HOAI) and Berlin building regulations is required. Applicants with foreign degrees must provide equivalence certification.
