Job Summary
As a Lead Network Engineer, you will spearhead the design, optimization, and evolution of network infrastructure for battery energy storage systems (BESS). Your day-to-day responsibilities involve providing strategic technical leadership to a team of qualified engineers, managing priorities, and ensuring high-performance connectivity across the enterprise. You will oversee the architecture of complex network environments, focusing on secure and redundant topologies, VPN configurations, and segmentation strategies. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Software Development, Cybersecurity, and Operations teams to develop scalable solutions aligned with corporate goals. This role is particularly attractive due to its focus on the energy transition and critical infrastructure, offering the chance to implement innovative technologies that enhance reliability and security. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of network engineering for multiple BESS projects, from implementation and commissioning to operational transition, while ensuring compliance with European cybersecurity regulations.

- At least 8 years of experience in network design and implementation, preferably within energy supply or critical infrastructure
- Proven leadership experience in managing technical workstreams and coordinating engineers and subcontractors
- Extensive expertise in network architectures, including routing, redundant topologies, and firewalls
- Experience applying German and European cybersecurity frameworks for critical energy infrastructure
- Professional experience in reviewing and approving technical design deliverables
