Job Summary

This role involves supporting scientific departments and service units at the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, managing an environment with over 1,000 end devices. As an IT Systems Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of computer hardware, peripherals, and network components, as well as operating systems and various software products. Beyond technical setup, you will manage the procurement of hardware and software and organize maintenance and repair tasks. This position is ideal for service-oriented professionals who enjoy working independently within a highly motivated, international team. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for Systems Integration (Fachinformatiker Fachrichtung Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT systems integration or a comparable field
  • Proven experience in installing and configuring computer hardware and peripherals
  • Experience in managing and maintaining Windows and macOS environments
  • Experience in hardware and software procurement and vendor management
  • Experience working in a service-oriented or help desk environment
