Job Summary
This full-time position in Vienna focuses on the development, maintenance, and optimization of Denodo views and virtual data services. As a Data Scientist / Data Virtualization specialist, you will integrate and transform data from diverse sources including APIs, Kafka topics, and cloud systems to build high-performance semantic layers and logical data models. Your daily routine will involve conducting ad-hoc analyses to support data-driven decisions and collaborating closely with internal teams to optimize data quality and performance. Beyond technical development, you will act as a consultant for clients, providing technical support and conducting workshops on the Denodo platform. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy bridging the gap between complex data engineering and business value. Required Skills
Education
Completed IT-focused education (Technical High School/HTL, University, or University of Applied Sciences degree)
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data integration, data modeling, or data virtualization
- Professional experience in handling relational and non-relational data sources
- Proven experience with deployment processes and version control tools
- Experience in conducting technical training or workshops
- Experience working within agile team environments such as Scrum or Kanban
