This role involves providing critical operational support to the Westpfalz Police Headquarters in Kaiserslautern through Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). As an Intel Officer, you will monitor and analyze digital big data, including social media posts, reels, and reports, to identify content relevant to police operations. You will be responsible for evaluating information, cross-referencing it with official databases, and supporting police leadership during live incidents using command and control systems. The position is unique for its direct impact on public safety and its integration into a modern police command center. Candidates must be prepared for rotating shift work, including nights and weekends, to ensure 24/7 operational readiness. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Communications Technology, Information Technology, or Data Science; OR completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, Media and Information Services Specialist, or Technical Communication Assistant.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Communication Technology
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant technical field if applying with a vocational qualification
  • Experience in handling OSINT tools and methodologies is highly desirable
  • Experience with Big Data research and monitoring tools
  • Experience in office management and standard IT applications
