Job Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer at the Hannover plant for DB Regio AG, you will play a critical role in keeping Germany's rail fleet mobile. Your daily responsibilities involve managing the maintenance of rail vehicles to ensure they are economical, safe, and high-quality. You will act as a technical bridge between the workshop floor and management, working closely with technicians, master craftsmen, and fleet managers. This role is highly hands-on, requiring you to identify operational challenges and optimize production processes in real-time. Beyond day-to-day troubleshooting, you will develop technical specifications, directives, and documentation for the facility. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Rail Vehicle Technology, or a comparable specialization.
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in operational maintenance processes specifically within the rail vehicle sector
- Initial experience in project management or project-based business environments is desirable
- Proven track record in optimizing production workflows and solving technical challenges in a workshop setting
- Experience in creating technical guidelines and operational instructions
