Job Summary

As a Drone Flight Coordinator and Pilot for DB InfraGO AG in Leipzig, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining drone-based asset documentation for Germany's extensive rail network. Your daily responsibilities include planning flight missions, analyzing operational areas, securing airspace clearances, and conducting surveying flights using advanced multicopter drones for photo, video, and LiDAR data collection. Beyond flight operations, you will manage complex data within the AVANI Geographic Information System (GIS), ensuring high-quality data integration and performing sophisticated spatial analyses to improve infrastructure procedures. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Geodesy, Geoinformatics, Geography, or a comparable field; EU Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency (A1/A3) and EU Remote Pilot License (A2).

Experience

  • Professional experience operating professional UAS (EASA-certified C0 to C4, e.g., DJI Mavic 4T or Matrice 350 RTK)
  • Practical experience in working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Experience in geodetic surveying using aerial imagery and scanner data is preferred
  • Professional background in infrastructure asset documentation or related field
  • Proven experience in independent project organization and team-based collaboration
