This full-time, permanent position within the Lower Saxony State Department for Water Management, Coastal and Nature Conservation (NLWKN) focuses on leading high-impact environmental engineering projects. As a Project Manager, you will primarily oversee the 'Dümmer Restoration' project, specifically managing the planning and implementation of a reed polder designed as a nature-based solution for nutrient retention. Your daily responsibilities include managing project budgets, coordinating with specialized engineering firms, and guiding projects through the approval and execution phases. You will also contribute to peatland restoration and flood protection initiatives. Required Skills

Education

University Degree (Diploma or Master of Science/Engineering) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience in managing approval processes and execution planning for water management infrastructure
  • Proven track record in coordinating external specialist offices and interdisciplinary teams
