Job Summary
This role is based within the Cyber Intelligence Criminal Investigation Unit (CI 10) and focuses on OSINT-based data science for preventive and operative crime analysis. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for planning and executing complex analyses using public data from the Clear, Deep, and Darknet. Your day-to-day tasks include building automated data pipelines, developing machine learning models for pattern recognition, and creating visual dashboards to support investigations into organized crime and cybercrime. You will also play a key role in quality assurance and training colleagues on data-driven investigative techniques. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Informatics, or a comparable data-oriented field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in data science, informatics, or statistical analysis
- Experience in processing and analyzing large, heterogeneous datasets from online sources
- Proven experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Practical experience in applying machine learning methods like clustering and classification
- Experience in creating technical reports, risk assessments, and visual dashboards
- Experience or willingness to learn German criminal and data protection law
