Job Summary

As a Transformer Development Engineer in Verden, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, simulation, and implementation of power electronics components, specifically focusing on transformers, power supplies, and EMC filters. Your day-to-day activities will involve circuit design, component selection, and hardware architecture development, alongside building technological platforms for new power supply architectures. You will work closely with research institutions and universities to integrate cutting-edge findings into prototypes. This role is highly technical, requiring the validation and qualification of prototypes through rigorous testing and measurement procedures until they reach series production readiness. The position offers a unique opportunity to work for a globally recognized industrial partner with a clear path to permanent employment after an initial temporary placement, providing both stability and the chance to work on innovative high-voltage systems.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience as an engineer in the development of transformers is required
  • Extensive experience in power electronics, semiconductor components, and protection concepts
  • Proven track record in hardware architecture, layout decisions, and verification through measurement and testing
  • Experience in collaborating with software teams and research institutions
  • Experience with EDA tools and laboratory measurement setups
