Job Summary
As an Embedded Software Developer at BYTEC, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality medical devices for surgery, diagnostics, and therapy. Your daily responsibilities will involve developing embedded software within an IEC 62304 compliant process, creating software concepts, and designing architectures. You will work closely with hardware development teams at the software interface, perform code reviews, and conduct unit and integration tests. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to develop modern user interfaces using Dart and Flutter for medical applications. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in developing embedded software for medical devices with high safety requirements (Class C IEC 62304 or FDA Major level concern)
- Proven project experience in C and C++ programming
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), specifically QNX 8
- Experience in debugging and software verification (Unit/Integration tests)
- Experience in software development within a regulated environment is highly desirable
