This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a sophisticated engineering project in the Munich area, focusing on the full lifecycle of hardware development. As an Electrical Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for creating complex circuit diagrams using Altium Designer and overseeing the layout process in collaboration with specialized departments. Your daily activities will include the development and dimensioning of optical frontends, designing amplifier circuits, and performing precision SMD soldering. A significant portion of the role involves technical validation, including temperature testing and EMC measurements to ensure product reliability. You will work within an interdisciplinary team, coordinating closely with firmware and manufacturing departments to ensure a smooth production ramp-up. The position is ideal for proactive professionals who enjoy a mix of theoretical design and hands-on laboratory work, offering a modern development environment with a 50% on-site presence requirement.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware development
  • Extensive experience in creating circuit diagrams with Altium Designer
  • Proven experience in analog circuit design and signal evaluation
  • Practical experience in precision SMD soldering (sizes 0402 and 0201)
  • Experience in conducting and evaluating temperature-related hardware tests
  • Experience in EMC-compliant development and measurement is preferred
