Job Summary
The Center for Human Genetics Tübingen is seeking a motivated and competent Scientific Researcher to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on the analysis of genetic data and human genetic findings, particularly in tumor diagnostics (somatic and germline) and immuno-oncology. The successful candidate will primarily evaluate human genetic Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data, perform variant research and assessment according to established classifications (ACMG/ACGS/AMG/ClinGen), and generate medical reports, including potential treatment options based on identified genetic changes. There is also an optional opportunity to contribute to the immuno-oncology team, focusing on neoepitope predictions, immunomonitoring, and participation in molecular tumor boards. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Life Sciences (focus on Tumor Genetics), ideally with a subsequent doctorate. Minimum qualification: Diploma/Master or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience in NGS technology
- Experience in database research
- Experience with genetic software (if applicable)
Languages
Additional
- Spanish language skills are a plus. Full-time preferred, but flexible working hours and partial home office are possible. Takeover into an unlimited employment contract is explicitly desired after 2 years.
