Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in Germany's heating transition by designing and planning the integration of heat pumps into residential electrical systems. Operating primarily from a modern office in Cologne, you will evaluate existing electrical installations, analyze meter cabinets via technical documentation, and ensure all designs comply with DIN VDE 0100-410 and grid operator standards. You will collaborate closely with field experts through live consultations to ensure seamless documentation and provide technical advisory services to customers via digital channels. Required Skills

Education

Trained Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology (Elektroniker f. Energie- und Gebäudetechnik) or equivalent vocational qualification.

Experience

  • Approximately 2 years of professional experience as a trained Electronics Technician for Energy and Building Technology
  • Extensive expertise in meter cabinet configurations and modifications
  • Experience in evaluating and documenting electrical installations
  • Previous commercial or business-related experience is considered an advantage

Additional

  • Must be willing to perform on-site appointments during the initial 8-12 week onboarding phase. Requirement to work from the Cologne office at least 2 days per week. Must be comfortable with digital tools and remote communication.
