Job Summary
As an Innovation Manager at MBM ScienceBridge GmbH, you will act as a vital link between academic research and the commercial market. Based in Göttingen, your daily responsibilities involve scouting and supporting scientists at universities and research institutions across Lower Saxony to identify groundbreaking inventions. You will evaluate new research results in technical and natural sciences, coordinate patent applications, and create professional marketing materials in both German and English. A significant portion of the role involves global networking, where you will build relationships with R&D and Business Development departments worldwide, including representing the organization at international trade fairs. You will also play a key role in negotiating licensing and exploitation agreements. This position is unique for its high degree of autonomy, flexible working hours (80% capacity), and the opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge science, intellectual property law, and international business development within a flat hierarchy.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Physics, Physical Chemistry, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Biotechnology); a PhD is considered ideal.
Experience
- Professional experience in business development, marketing, or project management preferred
- Experience in patent law, technology transfer, or contract negotiations is an advantage
- Experience in evaluating technical or scientific inventions
- Experience in international networking and stakeholder management
