Job Summary
The Emscher-Lippe Institute for Municipal Administration is seeking a Deputy Director of Studies to help lead its educational operations in Dorsten. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering instruction across various modules for municipal civil servants and administrative staff. Beyond teaching, you will provide strategic and operational support to the Director of Studies, representing them in their absence and managing specialized projects such as digitalization initiatives, new course formats, and legal administrative matters. You will also oversee part-time lecturers and coordinate examinations according to official regulations. Required Skills
Education
Second State Examination in Law, or a relevant university degree (preferably Law or Business Administration) with qualification for the higher administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2.2).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience suitable for teaching at a municipal administration institute
- Extensive experience in teaching and examination within municipal or state administration institutes
- Several years of professional experience specifically within municipal administration
- Multiple years of experience in personnel management and leadership
- Proven experience in handling administrative legal matters or organizational development
