Job Summary
This role serves as the designated Energy Officer for the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district office in Berlin, operating under the Energy Transition Act (EWG). As a Team Lead, you will provide disciplinary and technical supervision to staff while driving the district's administrative transformation toward sustainability. Your daily responsibilities involve monitoring energy and resource consumption across public buildings, conducting economic feasibility studies for energy-saving measures, and managing complex administrative processes. You will play a pivotal role in drafting energy reports, managing funding applications, and overseeing building renovation plans. This position is ideal for a professional who combines technical expertise in building services with leadership skills. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed University or Bachelor's degree in Building and Energy Technology, Supply Engineering (Heating, Ventilation, Sanitary), or a comparable technical degree.
Experience
- Professional experience as an Energy Consultant or in the energetic renovation of existing buildings is preferred
- Initial leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
- Experience in managing technical administrative processes and legal/administrative regulations
- Experience in coordinating workflows and handling complex technical documentation

- German language proficiency at C1 level (CEFR) is mandatory. Position is available starting April 1, 2026. Includes eligibility for a capital city allowance (Hauptstadtzulage) or employer-subsidized transit ticket.
