Job Summary

As a Laboratory Assistant in Product Development, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between innovative prototypes and market-ready industrial food products. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve manufacturing end-product samples for customer projects, testing new flavors across various confectionery and bakery applications, and preparing professional tastings and presentations. You will be responsible for the meticulous packaging and labeling of samples, maintaining the inventory of flavorings, and coordinating raw material orders with the purchasing department. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to participate in sensory evaluations and share insights with the development team. This position is particularly attractive for professionals looking to transition from traditional craft or laboratory environments into industrial product development, offering a permanent contract, 30 days of annual leave, and flexible working hours within a dynamic, future-oriented team.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Pastry Chef, Baker, Chemical Laboratory Assistant, CTA, PTA, PKA, BTA, or Chemical Technician.

Experience

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in the application of bakery and confectionery products is preferred
  • Professional experience in a laboratory environment
  • Experience in manufacturing and testing food prototypes
  • Practical experience in professional food presentation and sensory tasting

Additional

  • Permanent contract (Unbefristet); Initial placement via temporary employment with a clear takeover option; Salary range between 30,000 EUR and 45,000 EUR gross per year.
