Job Summary

As the Deputy Laboratory Manager for Quality Control at Paul W. Beyvers GmbH in Berlin, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and cosmetics. You will support the Head of Quality Control in managing a modern analytical laboratory, overseeing daily operations for a team of laboratory technicians. Your responsibilities include organizing GMP-compliant analysis, managing reference substances, and qualifying equipment. A key highlight of this role is the opportunity to shape the digital transformation of the lab, specifically through the upcoming implementation of a Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS). This position offers a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on laboratory work, requiring a professional who can maintain high quality standards while remaining pragmatic under pressure. You will act as a central interface between production, development, and regulatory departments within a family-oriented company culture that values flat hierarchies and independent decision-making.

Required Skills

Education

University degree with a focus on Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in an analytical laboratory within a regulated environment (ideal)
  • Experience in chemical-physical analysis methods according to European Pharmacopoeia
  • Experience in organizing daily laboratory operations and supervising technical staff
  • Experience in creating and managing GMP documentation and SOPs
  • Proven ability to manage interdisciplinary projects and external service providers
