Job Summary

As a Technical Writer for a high-tech software manufacturer specializing in mission-critical communication systems, you will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for hardware and software products. Your daily activities include developing manuals, admin guides, and user guides by analyzing technical requirements from Jira tickets and specifications. You will work closely with development, testing, and product management teams to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across different user groups, including administrators and integrators. This role is highly collaborative, involving knowledge management across departments like support, training, and sales. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree or vocational training in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Media Informatics, Information Design, IT, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as a Technical Writer or in a comparable position, ideally in a software or IT-related environment
  • Professional experience with component-based authoring tools
  • Experience in handling graphics and illustration software
  • Experience with collaboration and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in safety-critical or technical domains such as defense, critical infrastructure, or networking is advantageous

Additional
