Job Summary
As a Service Technician for Media and Security Technology, you will join a stable team of over 500 colleagues at G&N Gefahrenmelde- und Nachrichtentechnik GmbH. Your daily responsibilities involve the installation, setup, and maintenance of advanced security systems, including video surveillance, access control, and voice alarm systems. You will be responsible for configuring and programming audio, video, and control technology, with a strong focus on IP networking and system integration. Beyond technical execution, you will analyze system errors, perform maintenance, and provide customer training on system operations. This role is highly attractive due to the provision of a company car for private use, modern equipment (iPhone/iPad), and a secure, permanent contract with 30 days of vacation. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, or a comparable field (e.g., Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems or IT Specialist for System Integration).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in electrical engineering, security technology, or IT system technology
- Proven experience in at least one specialized area such as intrusion detection (EMA), fire alarm systems (BMA), video surveillance, or voice alarm systems (SAA)
- Experience in independent, structured, and solution-oriented project execution
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license is mandatory. Participation in on-call service is required (rare weekend or multi-day assignments by arrangement). Must be eligible to work in Germany.
