Job Summary
As a PLC Technician, you will be responsible for the programming, parameterization, and commissioning of PLC-controlled machinery and systems. Your daily routine involves analyzing and rectifying faults in control, drive, and automation systems, as well as optimizing existing programs to accommodate process changes. You will perform functional tests, document modifications, and ensure stable, reproducible plant operations. Beyond technical maintenance, you will play a key role in training operating personnel on automation technology handling and troubleshooting. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy problem-solving and ensuring high machine availability. The role is offered through PSH Personal Service, providing a secure, permanent contract with no probationary period, above-tariff pay, and opportunities for professional development and eventual permanent placement at the client company.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable qualification (e.g., Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician, or State-Certified Technician).
Experience
- Professional experience in PLC programming, commissioning, or plant maintenance is advantageous
- Proven practical experience in independent programming, troubleshooting, or commissioning of PLC-controlled machines and systems
- Experience with common control systems such as Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, Rockwell, or Beckhoff
- Experience in documenting technical changes and conducting functional tests
