Job Summary
As an Electronics Technician for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) at Mannesmann Precision Tubes, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of critical ultrasonic and eddy current testing systems. Your daily activities involve managing computer-aided production equipment for tube manufacturing, optimizing automation programming, and maintaining hardware documentation. Beyond technical repairs, you will play a key role in project management by planning and coordinating external service providers. This position is ideal for a proactive professional with a background in automation or measurement and control technology who enjoys a hands-on approach to complex industrial systems. Working within a 35-hour work week under the NRW Metal and Electrical Industry collective agreement, you will join a specialized maintenance team in Hamm, contributing to the quality assurance of precision steel tubes for an international manufacturer.
Required Skills
Education
Vocational training as an Electronics Technician or Power Plant Electronics Technician, plus further qualification as an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Technician specializing in Automation or Measurement and Control Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in the metalworking industry, ideally within a maintenance department
- Experience in the maintenance and optimization of computer-aided production systems
- Proven experience with SIMATIC PLC programming
- Experience or willingness to train in non-destructive material testing
- Experience in planning and coordinating external service providers
