Job Summary

This role involves the administration of central cross-sectional applications for electronic legal files within the Lower Saxony judiciary. As a member of the central IT service provider (ZIB), you will be responsible for providing and maintaining fully digital workplaces for courts and public prosecutors. Your daily activities include third-level support, error analysis, and troubleshooting, as well as optimizing system performance. You will actively participate in IT projects to integrate new software products and design future IT solutions. This includes the configuration and administration of central virtual server systems, databases, and application servers. The position is highly attractive due to its stability in the public sector, offering up to 90% remote work flexibility, a secure permanent contract, and the possibility of becoming a career civil servant (Verbeamtung). You will work in a team of 400 colleagues dedicated to modernizing the justice system through large-scale digitalization projects.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and qualifications in the IT sector.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the IT environment or equivalent practical skills
  • Profound knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem including Active Directory and PowerShell
  • Experience in the administration of Windows Server and Client operating systems
  • Experience with relational database systems in medium to large IT environments
  • Experience in IT project collaboration and system documentation
  • Experience with ITIL processes and application server management
