Job Summary

This full-time, permanent role involves taking conceptual responsibility for IT security within scientific and research IT environments at the German Environment Agency (UBA). Based in either Dessau-Roßlau or Berlin, the successful candidate will develop and implement information security rules, policies, and concepts while serving as the primary point of contact for branch offices. Key responsibilities include conducting regular IT security awareness training, acting as the IT Business Continuity Management (BCM) Coordinator, and providing backup for the central Information Security Officer, which includes participating in 24/7 on-call rotations. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable IT-related field. Alternatively, equivalent skills and experience with additional qualification as an Information Security Officer.

Experience
