Job Summary
This role involves the maintenance, repair, and monitoring of electrical and electro-hydraulic systems at the port of Emden to ensure 24/7 operational readiness. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for automation measures and programming across various systems, including energy and building technology as well as renewable energy plants. Your daily tasks include creating test reports, safety assessments, and updating technical documentation using Eplan P8. You will also coordinate workflows, supervise external contractors during renovation projects, and assist in developing fault management systems. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) in Electrical Engineering specializing in plant, operational, or building technology. Additional qualifications as a PLC Technician or IHK Specialist in Digital Networking are preferred.
Experience
- Several years of sound professional experience in system integration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation
- Professional experience in automation or system electronics within plant, operational, or building technology
- Experience in programming systems, specifically with TIA Portal or as a PLC specialist
- Experience in creating and updating technical documentation and maintenance plans
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Readiness for occasional shift work and participation in multi-day supra-regional training sessions. Must be able to work independently and in teams on system-critical infrastructure.
