Job Summary

As a Food Chemist at KiK, you will play a critical role in ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance within a dynamic retail environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing and updating testing requirements based on current laws, regulations, and internal standards. You will act as a key coordinator between the company and external testing institutes, managing schedules and ensuring rigorous quality control. Beyond technical analysis, you will serve as an internal expert, providing training to colleagues and suppliers on legal requirements and supporting the purchasing department with product categorization, labeling, and safety assessments. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Food Chemistry with the 2nd State Examination (Staatsexamen) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in food chemistry or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in the development and updating of testing requirements based on legal regulations
  • Experience in coordinating with external testing institutes and managing schedules
  • Experience in conducting training for employees and suppliers on legal topics
