Job Summary

As a Digitalization Manager for Manufacturing Engineering, you will lead international projects focused on Industry 4.0, IoT, and Smart Factory initiatives. Your daily responsibilities include creating technical specifications, configuring and administering the MES system (specifically MPDV Hydra), and collaborating with the IT department for system troubleshooting. You will play a pivotal role in commissioning new systems, generating OEE reports, and analyzing downtime data to drive manufacturing optimizations. Beyond technical implementation, you will serve as a key trainer for MES users and key-users across the organization. This position is highly attractive due to its 35-hour work week under the Hessian metal and electrical industry collective agreement, offering flexible working hours, mobile work options, and a strong focus on professional development within a global project environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Digitalization, or a related field; alternatively, a completed IT vocational training with relevant further education and professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a comparable digitalization or IT role
  • Experience in implementing international projects
  • Practical experience with OEE and MES systems, preferably MPDV Hydra
  • Experience in server, network, and software technology
  • Experience in training and educating key users
