As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead the coordination of development processes for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and their associated components. Your daily responsibilities include deriving structured requirements, creating realization concepts, and designing system architectures while assessing technical risks. You will be instrumental in defining technical specifications and interfaces, coordinating with aviation authorities, and managing project-specific development plans. The role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle from validation and verification to the alignment of safety concepts with specialized engineers. Beyond technical design, you will maintain the tool landscape required for type certification and provide training to colleagues. Required Skills

Education

Degree (Diploma/Master's) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable engineering discipline.

Experience

  • Professional experience in systems engineering, preferably focusing on aerospace components
  • Extensive experience with development processes (V-Model) and design assurance systems
  • Proven experience with safety-critical standards such as ARP4754, ARP4761, DO160, DO254, or DO178
  • Practical experience using MBSE and Requirements Management tools
  • Experience in project management and conducting design reviews
