Job Summary
This full-time, permanent role involves managing the financial and tax affairs for the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District Office in Greifswald, which oversees 135 parishes. As a Finance and Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end budget management process, including drafting budget plans, monitoring financial documents, and handling monthly and annual financial statements. A significant portion of the role focuses on tax matters, specifically VAT, as well as managing credit agreements and asset accounting. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in tax or accounting who enjoys a mix of structured financial reporting and advisory tasks. The role is particularly attractive due to its commitment to work-life balance, offering up to two days of mobile work per week, 30 days of annual leave, and additional paid time off on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Required Skills
Education
Completed specialist vocational training, preferably as a Tax Assistant (Steuerfachangestellte) or Certified Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt).
Experience
- Professional experience in financial administration or tax consultancy
- Experience in preparing annual financial statements and budget drafts
- Practical experience with VAT processing and tax matters
- Experience in handling credit agreement negotiations
- Proven experience with ERP systems, ideally Dynamics 365 Business Central
