Job Summary
The Municipality of Lindlar is seeking a dedicated leader to manage two critical departments: Public Safety and Order, and Education and Culture. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for personnel management, financial oversight, and organizational development. Your daily responsibilities include managing public order regulations, organizing elections, coordinating large-scale events, and overseeing school development and media planning. Additionally, you will represent the administrative board in accordance with local government regulations and support various political committees. This position is ideal for an experienced administrative professional looking for a secure public service role that offers a high degree of responsibility and the chance to shape local community services. The role is unique in its breadth, combining regulatory enforcement with the strategic development of local schools and cultural institutions, all within the scenic Naturpark Bergisches Land near Cologne.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Public Administration (Diplom-Verwaltungswirt, Diplom-Verwaltungsbetriebswirt) or a comparable Bachelor's degree such as Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Municipal Administrative Service.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a leadership or management capacity
- Relevant professional experience in the fields of public safety, order, or education administration
- Experience in committee work and drafting administrative resolutions
- Experience in organizational change management
