Job Summary
As a Marine Electrician in Kiel, you will play a vital role in bringing naval vessels to life through complex electrical installations. Your daily responsibilities involve the installation and commissioning of switchgear, sub-distributions, and critical communication and navigation systems. The role focuses heavily on low-voltage technology—including signal, data, and control lines—while also managing high-voltage power distribution networks up to 1000V. You will ensure all work complies with VDE standards and maritime regulations. Required Skills
Education
Vocational training certificate (Facharbeiter-/Gesellenbrief) in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Installation).
Experience
- Completed vocational training as an Electrician, Electronics Technician, or Mechatronics Technician
- Professional experience in cable routing and device installation for communication and navigation systems
- Practical knowledge of low-voltage technology and shipboard network integration
- Experience in energy and building technology or industrial engineering is highly desirable
